Binary Guild Charter
Introduction
Our charter provides a general outline of Binary’s policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Members of Binary all agree to abide by our guild Charter.
Overview
Binary strives to represent itself as casual but mature guild. We enjoy the social aspect of the game and although gear is a great thing to have we feel people are what make the game not the gear. We aren’t hardcore raiders nor do we plan to be.
Code of Conduct
All Blizzard policies and rules must be followed.
Behave well when representing our guild: Members are to conduct themselves in a mature and professional manner at all times. Ensure the image and reputation of Binary is viewed positively to the community through your attitude and actions.
Respect other players and guild members: Binary Members are to be professional and courteous to all members of the community. If a disagreement is to arise, either use the /ignore feature or stop communication with the individual, but do not engage in any type of debate or dialogue of insults while representing Binary.
Respect towards each other: Binary Members are to treat each other with respect at all times. We have a wide range of personalities and some people may get along better with some more than others, but we are all in the same guild and need to work together to be successful. If there are any issues that cannot be worked out individually, contact an officer of the guild for assistance.
Public forums: Binary members are to keep any post on a public forum where Binary is represented constructive in nature and in no way defame the Binary name or its members. Additionally, Binary members are to refrain from responding to any post that is created to intentionally attack or criticize Binary or its members. In other words, do not "Troll" or "Flame".
Chat & Vent channels: Binary members are to keep guild chat clean and mature. Cussing in guild, party and raid chat is not permitted. Inappropriate jokes, commentary or discussion will not be tolerated. Absolutely no racial or sexual comments should be used at any time. Imagine your kids, your parents, or someone else’s kids are in the chat room with you. Be respectful of members that do not wish to be exposed to that type of language.
Binary members are to refrain from discussion of any political or religious views. We have members from all over the world in this game with diverse backgrounds, religions and political views.
Member removal or voluntary departure: Members that are either removed or that leave voluntarily will not be welcomed back into Binary. We feel that if a member left, there was good reason they aren't compatible with our guild and it would be futile to bring the individual back onboard.
Miscellaneous
Ingame communication: Binary currently used Ventrilo for ingame communications. Members are encouraged to obtain the necessary equipment to participate in Ventrilo.
Website Forum & Applications: Every applicant must submit an application to the guild before they will be invited. Each accepted member must also register for the forums and are strongly encouraged to participate and check them frequently. Your forum username must match your mains ingame character name exactly.
Alts: Alts are permitted to allow constant communication with the rest of the guild members. Alts must be linked to their main via public note in the guild management window so everyone can see who’s main the alt is.
Leave of absence: Binary members are more than welcome to take any leave of absence at any time. We simply request communication with the officers in order to preserve your membership in the guild so that your character isn't purged due to inactivity.
Binary reserves the right to amend or modify this document at any time.
